Emarah- a doctor at Damietta general hospital- was detained early last month during local elections that took place last Tuesday.

He is prominent MB activist, established the Committee for Coordination between Political Parties (CCPP) in Damietta that includes representatives from Al-Wafd, Nasseresit, Tajammu` Parties, and Muslim Brotherhood. He also created the Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinians.
