State Prosecutor Orders Ikhwanweb’s Chief Editor Released
The New Cairo state security prosecution ordered the release of Khaled Hamza, Ikwanweb’s editor in chief, and other two MB detainees who were previously detained during the municipal elections phase, while the prosecution issued a decision of prolonging the jail of other nine MB detainees, who were arrested at the same time, for more fifteen days.

The New Cairo state security prosecution ordered the release of Khaled Hamza, Ikwanweb’s editor in-chief, and other two MB detainees who were previously detained during the municipal elections. khaled is expected to be released within two days, according to his lawyers. Meanwhile, Prosecutor prolonged the jail of other nine MB detainees who were arrested at the same time, for fifteen more days.
 
Khaled Hamza was arrested on February 20 during crackdown against the Muslim Brotherhood and its media personnel in the run-up for the municipal election on April 8.
 
Noteworthy, the prosecution’s decision today comes few hours after the military court verdict on the case where 40 MB leaders have been tried for more than a year, the case that included Eng. Khairat Al-Shater, second deputy chairman of the MB, who had been sentenced to seven years in prison along with businessman Hassan Malek. Dr. Mohamed Ali Bishr, member of the MB Executive Bureau, was sentenced to three-year jail term.
