In their blog lead, they say they are a group of doctors who agreed to struggle against the violation of their profession and decided to form a syndicate group aiming at cooperation with the doctors’ syndicate and other supporters to unite the efforts for restoring their rights and promote themselves and their profession as well. Egyptian doctors experience miserable conditions because the regime ignores the vital fields such as education and health while spends much more budgets on the emergency rule and the security apparatus for persecuting and intimidating the people, they say in their blog. The budget designated for security exceeds thrice as much as the budget of education and health. Newly appointed doctors receive no more than 220 Egyptian pounds after allowances and incentives. One can receive no more 8 pounds per day for unlimited working hours. In 2007 and 2008, there have been many events done by doctors including many marches and demos calling on the government to improve their standards. In the same regard, Muslim Brotherhood MPs discussed this issue in the PA many times to put the issue of the doctors’ special cadre into force.
