Security forces in Johannesburg Airport arrested outspoken Sheikh Wagdy Ghoneim Monday while he was heading for Yemen to attend an Islamic conference. Reasons for the arrest are still unknown. The Sheikh has left South Africa several times before to attend conferences and seminars, but this was the fist time he receives any harassment by authorities. Sheikh Ghoneim is currently a resident of South Africa. South African Authorities have recently granted him and his family official visa. |
