NGO: 62 Protests By Workers And Peasants In Egypt During July
The Earth Center for Human Rights revealed in a press release Sunday that the labor movement has witnessed at least 40 protests during the month of July.

The Earth Center for Human Rights revealed in a press release Sunday that the labor movement has witnessed at least 40 protests during the month of July.

 

These include 20 sit-ins ,ten strikes ,five demonstrations, five protests, the layoff of  22327 workers ,the death of 19 workers and the  injuring of other 139, as a result of the absence of industrial security and health care.

 

The NGO issued a report pointing out the fact that peasants, at the same period, have held 22 protests including eight sit-ins, nine demonstrations and five assemblies, while 37 farmers were killed and other 53 were injured as a result of violence accidents among peasants in July  due to problems of drinking and irrigation water, fertilizers, and conflicts over bread.
