A survey conducted by the Palestinian central bureau for statistics revealed that the demographic impact of Israel"s apartheid wall have doubled in the last three years, asserting that the wall led to the displacement of about 3,880 Palestinian families composed of approximately 28,000 people.

According to the results of the survey, the total area of lands confiscated by Israel to build the apartheid wall on since construction of the wall started until the end of last June amounted to more than 50,000 dunums, while the agricultural lands isolated behind the wall reached 275,000 dunums.

Specialists say that the displacement of the Palestinian residents will not stop, land confiscation will increase and more Palestinian population centers will be besieged as a result of expansion of the apartheid wall and settlements.

The survey pointed out that the total number of families that were forced to leave their lands and houses in the areas on which the apartheid wall was built rose from 2,448 at the end of May 2005 to 3,880 families last June.
