MP said "the lack of development in Abu Mandor, which historical books mentioned, that under it lies the ancient city Bolaptin, as the validity of this information was confirmed by many scolars and researchers. The severe negligance that affects the region is an image of the deliberate nonfeasance by the government to protect this archeological historical area". He added "Officials are fully aware of these facts and documents, but they neglect and fall short of protecting it and refuse exploration in this area to reveal this great ancient edifice, moreover, it leaves the area for thieves and mafia smuggling antiquities who abuse and drill in the area daily at night as verified in the records and documents with no deterrence or intervention of the government to protect this ancient area, considering this as a strange and mysterious behavior of officials that is suitable to the greatness of the crime in the right of Egypt, its antiquities and Egyptians’ history. He underlines the government squandering the fortunes, treasures and the antiquities of Egypt and facilitating its seizure, which is an offence that requires punishment and accountability". |
