Ahmed Jibril, the secretary general of the popular front for the liberation of Palestine – general command, has said that there was no real progress in the inter-Palestinian national dialog in Cairo.

He said in a press release on Friday that deep differences existed in the vision and political approach to the Palestine cause.

He explained that the core difference is about returning to resistance as the main tool of Palestinian national struggle.

Jibril called for holding general elections within and outside Palestine and for restructuring the PLO on the resistance program.

"We don"t want an authority that is turning into a guard for the Zionist occupation and its tool in fighting resistance," Jibri elaborated.

He said that former PA chief and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas"s insistence on his deviated policy posed as the main stumbling bloc before the national dialog.
