The Muslim Brotherhood’s statement on recent detentions

Despite the Criminal Court"s issuing a verdict to release Dr. Osama Nasr and his brothers in the very well-known case in the media known as " The issue of the international Muslim Brotherhood ", the hordes of the unjust regime are still waging ongoing detentions against the Muslim Brotherhood where innocents are pending in custody in the same case, threatening them with imprisonment and wavering with livelihoods, confiscating their funds and sealing off their businesses by illegal means that breach the Constitution and the law.

Despite the Criminal Court"s issuing a verdict to release Dr. Osama Nasr and his brothers in the very well-known case in the media known as " The issue of the international Muslim Brotherhood ", the hordes of the unjust regime are still waging ongoing detentions against the Muslim Brotherhood where innocents are pending in custody in the same case, threatening them with imprisonment and wavering with livelihoods, confiscating their funds and sealing off their businesses by illegal means that breach the Constitution and the law.
 
The people woke up Sunday, at dawn, June 28, 2009 on barbaric raids and a massive crackdown against the honest. The safety of families, children and women were at stake where they were terrorized and intimidated. Furthermore, Judge Fathi Lashin, a former Judge and author of many legal books and references was assaulted despite his severe illness, his poor liver and kidney function, and his weak physical condition  they did not take into account his age and illness. The security forces must be held responsible for his wellbeing. Dr. Abdel-Moneim Abu el-Fotouh, Member of the Executive Bureau of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Secretary-General of the Arab Doctors" Federation who had a prominent role in the relief and rescue of our brothers in Gaza along with righteous educator Gamal Abdel-Rahman Al-Gamal and Head of the Emergency Relief Committee of the Arab Doctors" Federation Dr. Gamal Abdul Salam.

In this context, we would like to emphasize the following:
 
1– Detentions emphasize the failure of the existing regime in various fields, whereas its inability to bring security to the nation as these deeds are directly in the service of our US-Zionist enemies tarnishing Egypt"s reputation internally and abroad.
 
2- This comes in the form of raiding campaigns and arrests where the regime carried it out against the Brothers in order to restrict their movement and prevent them from performing the role in the Egyptian political life. Allah willing, this will not happen.
 
3-The state"s ongoing fierce campaigns to undermine the Brotherhood will fail as it previously has. The Brotherhood are on their way to reform, coordinating with all the  political and national powers in Egypt, and forming a coalition with the Egyptian masses.
 
4 - These detentions come in the framework of  sacrifices offered to the US-Zionists to ensure they continue in power. Foreigner’s are asked to help against citizens who have come to hate this regime for exercising the oppression, aggression, and the failure to alter the corruption. Power has been abused and crimes performed in the police stations are clear evidence of this.
 
O wrong-Doers, We say to you that we will continue to call to Allah with wisdom and patience Allah willing. We (MB) are holding, praise be to Allah, the knowledge to the nation and the whole world and the light of Allah will not be off by humans (And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not.)
