It seems that the Syrian authorities will be facing an embarrassing predicament if the leaders of Sunni Islamist movements insist on boycotting the Arab Leaders summit later this week. Ali Sadr el-Deen al- Bayanouny the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood movement in Syria had called on Sunni Islamist movements to boycott the summit in response to earlier shuns by the Syrian authorities. Various movements and leaders including Turkey's Erdogan earlier had begun an initiative advocating a reconciliation between the Syrian Muslim brotherhood (who reluctantly agreed to engage in dialogue) and the Syrian authorities which was ironically ignored by the Syrian regime.

It seems that the Syrian authorities will be facing an embarrassing predicament if the leaders of Sunni Islamist movements insist on boycotting the Arab Leaders summit later this week. Dr Hassan Abd Allah Alturaby was among the first leaders who responded to the MB's call where the movement stressed the great injustice which has befallen the movement of late. The Syrian regime seemed to tilt towards any sect which opposed any of the MB nevertheless they responded earlier to efforts for reconcilement in the hope that the Syrian regime would support the Palestinian cause despite history proving that Syria could not oppose the Israeli regime.


The Muslim Brotherhood Movement in Syria has resolved that they would resort to different measures than those practiced by Jordanian, Turkish and other mediators they assumed would be more successful in the advocating of reform in Syria in which
