Hamas's delegation has returned on Thursday evening to Gaza after having discussing with the other leaders in Damascus the latest Israeli proposals on a prisoner exchange deal.

The delegation comprised Dr. Mahmoud al-Zahhar, Dr. Khalil al-Hayya and Dr. Nizar Awad-Allah.

Zahhar said, in a statement, on arrival at Rafah that it was difficult to talk about the three thorny issues of Shalit, reconciliation and the steel wall, but stressed that his movement has not closed the door on a prisoner-exchange deal and said that internal consultations are taking place and Hamas will announce the result at a future date.

He pointed out that his movement has some reservations on the Israeli proposals which were given to the movement through the German mediator.
