The General Assembly of the Fatwa and Legislation in the State Council announced that it will decide on January 20, 2010 the legitimacy of Dr. Ibrahim Soliman's presidency, over the Petroleum Services Company. It is expected that decision will be made once the State Commissioners Association submits its reports.
The Parliament transferred a question by Dr. Gamal Zahran regarding the legitimacy of simultaneously heading two positions. The question was submitted to two chancellors in the State Council, with contradicting responses where one responded for and the other against.
Gamal Zahran also sent the two opinions to the Minister of Petroleum and referred the matter to the Fatwa and Legislation section in the General Assembly of the State Council, adding that the Parliament should await the decision of this unbiased body. |
