The assembly told a news conference held in Al-Shifa hospital that a number of Palestinian children died of suffocation as a result of the use of malfunctioned power generators. It said that the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza in cooperation with regional states destroyed its infrastructure especially in the health sector. The chairman of the Medical Syndicate Abdul M ohsen Abu Al-Rous noted that the fuel crisis and the consequent power outages caused many surgical operations, oxygen stations and medical appliances to stop in hospitals. He appealed to the international community to urgently intervene and pressure Israel to lift its blockade on Gaza. |
