Dubai police released 15 further names, possible stolen passport identities, of a gang believed to have murdered Mabhouh in a hotel in the emirate on February 20

The case has sparked outrage in Britain, Ireland and other states whose citizens had their identities stolen by the assassination gang

The chief of Dubai's police has said he is "99-per-cent, if not 100-per-cent" certain that Israel's intelligence agency, the Mossad, was responsible for the murder of al-Mabhouh, who was found strangled in his hotel room on February 20. However Israel's Mossad still deny complete responsibility

A number of the individuals whose identities have shown up on the Dubai police's suspect list expressed shock Thursday

Mark Daniel Sklar, a 51-year-old security guard from Bat Yam south of Tel Aviv, whose name was used in an allegedly forged British passport that gives his age as 30, said he did not own a British passport

Melvyn Adam Mildiner, named on the Dubai list, alleged that his passport was still in his possession

Israel's ambassador to Canberra was ordered Thursday to help explain how three Australian passports came to be used by the assassination gang. Investigations are still continuing
