The Prosecutor General in Cairo overruled an appeal filed by defense lawyers to acquire a release order for Dr Saad Elewa on grounds that he suffered from ill health conditions.

Elewa suffered a stroke during his transfer and was rushed to the Imbaba Heart Centre where he has been receiving medical care and the proper procedure in high security conditions.

The MB senior leader was detained and added to case 202 of 2010 with Dr Ezzat the deputy chairman of the movement. Elewa has suffered much unfortunate health conditions and has had a previous stroke in 2007 also during detention.
