Barhoum: Statements of occupation leaders reveal arrogance and ill intentions

The statement of Israel's finance minister Yuval Steinitz reflects the Israeli occupation authority's criminal intention and its insistence on pursuing "state terrorism", Fawzi Barhoum, a Hamas spokesman, said on Sunday.

In a press release Barhoum stressed that such statements necessitate urgent regional and international resolutions against the IOA including isolating it on the regional and international levels.

The spokesman said that the world community should immediately put Israeli leaders on trial as war criminals and bridle their aggression and crimes against the Palestinian people.

Barhoum said that any attempt to normalize relations or start talks with the IOA would only serve as a cover for those crimes and would encourage the IOA to commit more terrorism and crimes against humanity.

Steinitz threatened that Tel Aviv will "liquidate" Hamas sooner or later, adding that Israel may even launch a new offensive on the Gaza Strip.

He said Tel Aviv has not set a timetable for when it will eliminate the Palestinian movement, but he underscored that it would happen sooner or later.
