Tafakji: Israel uses religion to erase Arab and Islamic roots from J’lem

In a statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC) on Wednesday, Tafakji added that the Zionists build more synagogues so as to tell the world that Jerusalem is not Palestinian anymore, but it belongs to them.

Commenting on the underground metro line Israel intends to establish in the holy city, he stressed that this project is aimed to link what is called eastern Jerusalem with its western side in order to eliminate the idea of a two-state solution.

In the same context, Al-Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage revealed that Israel started to carry out a big Judaization project to convert the southern area of the Aqsa Mosque especially the area of the Umayyad Emirate Dar into a Talmudic area associated with the alleged temple of Solomon.

In a report issued on Wednesday, the foundation said that it found out during field visits to the area that Israel started to Judaize the entire southern area of the Aqsa Mosque in order to link it to another project aimed to Judaize Silwan neighborhood and Wadi Hilwa area.

The foundation explained that Israel will turn the southern area of the Mosque into what is called the path of Talmudic purification as part of a group of Jewish paths reaching the historical Islamic wall of the Old City of Jerusalem.

It added that the Jews claim that this path of purification will be used to purify them before entering the temple of Solomon they intend to build after destroying the Aqsa Mosque.

The foundation noted that this project was preceded by excavations that lasted for long months during which Israel stole and destroyed ancient Islamic landmarks in the area.
