Dr. Aziz Dweik, the speaker of the Palestinian legislative council, has taken part in the peaceful anti wall march organized weekly by Ma'sara village inhabitants in Bethlehem district against the Israeli occupation authority's separation wall.

Dweik delivered the Friday Khutba (sermon) at the village calling on the villagers to be resolute and to stick to national unity.

The march then headed to the separation wall where the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) used rubber bullets, teargas canisters, and physical attack against participants.

Locals said that two persons were wounded while two others were arrested other than many suffering breathing difficulties.

Three other Hamas lawmakers took part in the demonstration.

Similar marches were organized on Friday in Nilin and Nabi Saleh villages in Ramallah district where Palestinian flags were hoisted along with slogans calling for boycotting products of Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

IOF troops fired teargas grenades at the demonstrators leading to breathing problems among many of them while they threw stones at the soldiers.
