Activists in Washington have called on the Egyptian community to take part and demonstrate against police violence common in Egypt under the emergency law which has been in force since Mubarak came to power in 1981. Demonstrations are expected to take place in front of the Egyptian embassy.

The Egyptian embassy in London will also witness similar protests as activists hope to expose the Egyptian Interior Ministry for its insistence in covering the crimes of police and security forces.

Egyptian activist Ossama Roushdi maintained that the Egyptian community in London wanted to express their solidarity with the Egyptian people in Egypt , adding "We want them to know that we stand by their side".

Related, activists in Cairo have resorted to the social networking site, Facebook also calling on people to participate in a protest scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Tahrir square.
