Veiled Martyr Marwa Elsherbini's brother Tarek confirmed that neither he, nor any member of his family will participate in the commemoration of her brutal murder by Alex Weins in the Dresden Courtroom last year, while she was giving testimony In June 2009, against Alex a German from Russian origins who had cursed Elsherbini in a children’s playground and was fined in court. He explained the German government failed to apologise for the security's neglect which led to the death of his sister.

Tarek demanded an official apology from the Ministry of Justice in Saxonia for the security's carelessness which failed to notice the killer entering the courtroom carrying the knife he used to stab his sister. Not only did they fail to offer an apology for the murder they refused to acknowledge they were responsible for the safety of the courtroom neglect which also resulted in Dr. Elwi being shot. Furthermore neither Marwa's husband nor son will be compensated.

He pointed out that there are many racist crimes in Germany against foreigners and his sister wouldn't be the last victim as long as these crimes are ignored adding that “the German government only indicted  the killer for the murder but did not admit the security deficit which caused the death of his sister”.

The court had sentenced Alex to life imprisonment on 11 November, 2009.
