The Islamic human rights commission has recently published a letter written by the Muslim Brotherhood deputy chairman's daughter appealing for his release.

IHRC is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations which has been involved in many human rights issues in the published article, Zahra al-Shater, daughter of Khayrat AlShater, spoke of her great sorrow at her father’s condition and the injustice he has suffered at the hands of the Egyptian government.

AlShater is currently serving an unjust 7 year martial court sentence despite numerous court acquittals and as a result his health has deteriorated considerably. The organization called on all to join the struggle for justice and call for al-Shater's release
