Despite assurances by the authorities that Egypt will witness integrity during the elections, arbitrary arrests continue by state security forces where the governorate of Daqahliya witnessed 5 Muslim Brotherhood members arrested from the streets as they were hanging posters and banners supporting Mansoura's MB candidate.

The arrests are a clear indication of the regime's true intentions and sheds light on what is expected to come during the elections. Arrests escalated soon after the group's chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie confirmed that the MB would take part in the elections early last week.

Minors were no acceptance to the rule of unjust arrests where forces arrested 10 MB members including one 13 year old in Sharqiya at dawn. Details are expected to unravel later.
