Brotherhood students at Al-Azhar University students affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in Cairo held a festival as part of their campaign titled "Reformers" to promote the group's candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The festival also drew attention to the MB student activities in the different universities which promoted the MB parliamentary candidates.

MB students at the University of Alexandria also launched campaign titled "We will clean it up" aimed at fighting corruption and supporting reformers in the November elections.
Mohamed Shehata spokesman for the MB students in the Alexandria University asserted that the purpose behind the campaign is to inform students on the significance of actively participating in the upcoming elections.

It also hoped to encourage students to get a voting card to support and vote for the reformers in the elections in an effort to fight corruption.

Assuit University's MB students organized a fete despite tightened security to exhibit art work depicting the MB's history and familiarize other students with the group's origins and history. The festival was launched in an effort by MB to clear up suspicions surrounding the group following the government's defaming campaign.

From Cairo's University's Faculty of Commerce, 53 MB students were charged with hanging religious banners prior permission; while 20 MB students from Mansoura were referred for investigation after holding a political conference titled "A free university and a free country"--also without permission.
