Delegates from Egypt’s Opposition parties and groups held a conference on Tuesday at the Muslim Brotherhood parliamentary bloc’s headquarters, where they drafted ten steps to monitor fraudulent practices in the parliamentary polls slated for late November.

The meeting included delegates from the Wafd, Tagammu, Nasserist, and Ghad parties as well as from the National Association for Change.

Dr. Mohamed Badie the MB chairman highlighted the significance of unity stressing that it was imperative the country’s political opposition cooperated to save the nation from the regime’s tightened grip.

The meeting ended with all participants vowing to appoint representatives at polling stations in an effort to prevent double voting. A news team will also be formed and will be responsible for covering the election and reporting any vote rigging incidents to international news agencies. Civil society organizations will also be called in to monitor the elections and report instances of fraud to their international affiliates.
