Security forces stormed the houses of 6 Muslim Brotherhood leaders in Alexandria, however, only 1 leader was arrested due to the absence of the other 5 from their homes.
Forces fired live bullets and attacked campaigners posting banners late last night, arresting 14, including 2 high school students. Thugs also assaulted supporters of Sobhi Saleh, MB candidate in the Ramleh district.

The clampdown and arrests come amid escalating hostilities nationwide in the lead up to Sunday’s parliamentary elections. A raid on at least 20 MB houses in 2 days in Alexandria by security forces reveals the intentions of early rigging of the polls by attempting to intimidate the opposition.

In a related incident, security forces also arrested candidate Aza Garaf’s writer, journalist husband, Badr Mohamed Badr, after raiding their house at dawn in Cairo.
