The Freedoms Committee in the Journalists’ Syndicate organized a symposium2010 Elections” to present the experiences of national journalists in covering the recent parliamentary elections. The symposium included: Mohamed Abdel Qudus, head of the Freedoms Committee; Dr. Mahmoud Alam El-Deen, Dean of Journalism at the Information Faculty, Cairo University; and Dr. Soliman Saleh, Professor of International Media at the faculty. Also, taking part were: Dr. Hendazah Fekry, head of training at the International Centre for Journalists; Samir Omar, correspondent for Al-Jazeera TV channel; Fathy Abu Hatab, Editor-in-Chief of al-Masry Al-Youm website; Mohamed Shousha, head of e-marketing for Al-Shorouq newspaper; Hafez Abu Saeda, chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights; and Abler Saadi, head of the Training Committee at the Journalists’ Syndicate.
