Jordanians engaged in a mass sit in where more than 3,000 Jordanian trade unionists, Islamists and leftists sat outside parliament protesting against the government's economic policies.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s political arm leader in Jordan Hammam Said maintained that the Jordans have been suffering the same way as Tunisians have been suffering referring to the popular revolt in Tunisia.

Saturday, witnessed over 50 Jordanian trade unionists engaging in a sit-in outside the Tunisian embassy in Amman, chanting “Tunisia's revolution will spread and protesters raised Jordanian flags and banners with messages venting their anger at the government of Prime Minister Samir Rifai, demanding an end to "corruption" and "soaring prices’’ calling on Rifai to "listen to the voice of the people."

During the sit-in MPs were discussing economic policies and the demands of the people in a parliament sitting.
