MB to re-open closed companies
Top Muslim Brotherhood lawyer Abdul Monem Abdul Maqsoud has confirmed that the released detainees were taking steps to re-open the companies belonging to MB members that were closed by the deposed dictator Mubarak’s corrupt regime.

Top Muslim Brotherhood lawyer Abdul Monem Abdul Maqsoud has confirmed that the released detainees were taking steps to re-open the companies belonging to MB members that were closed by the deposed dictator Mubarak’s corrupt regime. Following the unjust sentence by a military tribunal in April 2008 security bodies shut down over 50 companies owned by the Brotherhood members in an attempt to restrict the flow of funds to the group. The Egyptian military court had also ordered the imprisonment of MB deputy Eng. Khairat Al-Shater and businessman Hassan Malek charged with money laundering and belonging to an outlawed group. Both however have been released by an order from the Army’s Supreme Council. According to Abdel Monem Maqsoud, the defense team for Al-Shater and Malek are currently taking steps to restore the money confiscated when they were imprisoned. |
