MB lawyers filed an appeal in the State Council against the Minister of Justice, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the President of the Cairo Court of Appeal.

The lawyers called on them to publicize the trial hearings of figures of the former regime, and to lift the decision banning the media from recording the meetings. They stressed that publicity is necessary for deterring the corruptors.

Abdel Moneim Abdel-Maqsoud, MB lawyer, stated that the lawyers had submitted requests to the President of the Supreme Judicial Council to broadcast the trial hearings, stressing that the public opinion was entitled to be familiar with what is happening adding holding back information from the public violates all treaties and international conventions, signed by Egypt

He pointed out that the constitutional principles guaranteed the freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of information, and endorsed the principle of public hearings, adding the decision was not competent and not based on law.

Abdel Maqsoud expressed his serious concerns regarding the prevention of broadcasting the trials of the symbols of corruption in Egypt, adding that the truth and reality of the trials with those who wasted the nation's resources and contributed to the widespread of poverty and unemployment should be open and known to all in order to reassure people.
