The Muslim Brotherhood’s newly founded Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) will announce Sunday the names of the party’s cofounders as presented to the Political Parties Committee on Wednesday. According to the party’s secretary general and co-founder Dr. Sad Katatny, the party has 8,821 founding members across Egypt’s 27 governorates. If no objections are filed against it the party is expected to start operating officially on June 17. He stressed that the list includes over 900 women and 93 Copts whose names will be published in both the state run Gomhoreya and Akhbar newspapers. |
