Youth of Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) in Cairo and Giza are organizing a protest on Tuesday, August 2, in front of the Syrian Embassy in Cairo, in Dokki Street, at exactly 10:00 pm, to denounce the repressive measures undertaken by the Syrian regime against the unarmed civilians.

Dr. Mohammed el-Beltagui, Secretary of Freedom and Justice Party in Cairo, said that the Syrian ambassador will be informed of this protest this morning, and he is to meet with an Egyptian delegation to inform him of their demands, which includes an immediate ending of the massacres carried out against the Syrian people by the regime, punishing the perpetrators and holding them accountable, as well as respecting the will of the Syrian people and their aspirations for a democratic civil state.

In a statement to Ikhwanweb, el-Beltagui said: "If there is no response to these demands, we will call upon the Egyptian government and the Arab League to take firm and decisive stance against the Syrian regime." Dr. el-Beltagui pointed out that the political forces, the partisan coalitions and the youth were all invited to participate, indicating that the protest will not be the last in the path of supporting the fair demands of the Syrian people.

This protest comes in light of the continued pressure by the Syrian community in Egypt and the Egyptian activists to end massacres carried out by the regime of Bashar al-Assad against the Syrian people in the city of Hama, which killed more than 150 people over the weekend.

The demonstrators are calling for the expulsion of the Syrian ambassador in Cairo and the stepping down of Bashar al-Assad, appealing to the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Nabil Al-Arabi, to side with the Syrian people against the militias of Bashar al-Assad regime.
