Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) leaders Dr. Mohamed Morsi and Dr. Saad Katatny met with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Cairo, Ahmed Ben Abdul Aziz Alqatan, Monday to discuss measures to strengthen bilateral relations focussing on economics and politics.

Alqatan confirmed that Saudi businessmen own many investments in Egypt, and are prepared to increase their businesses in Egypt in the near future in order to support progress and development in Egypt, especially following the revolution.

FJP Chairman, Mohamed Morsi, highlighted the special relations between both countries and the mutual respect which increased since ousting of the former regime.

Morsi described the Ambassador’s visit as a welcomed channel of communication between the two countries.

“In this upcoming and historical phase, Egypt is in dire need of support to boost its economy through investments from its Arab neighbors,” Morsi said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Saad el-Katatny stated that the FJP is keen to develop Egypt's relations with Arab nations and utilize their resources, including manpower, which will benefit the people across the Arab world.
