Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Chairman Dr. Mohamed Morsi stated that the party's anticipated majority in parliament does not imply that the party will dominate drafting of the constitution.

"No party will be marginalized when the constitution is drafted. The constitution is for all of Egypt and not just the FJP and it will be chartered by individuals and intellectuals from different parties. All citizens regardless of their ideological and political principles will be represented".

Speaking to Ikhwanweb, Morsi praised integrity of the elections despite few violations during the electoral process.

"The FJP has full trust in the Judiciary and believes it will perform its duty well. These elections are the first real and welcomed democratic experience after years of repression".

He denied media allegations that the party would monopolize power, stressing that the FJP is part of the Democratic Alliance's (DA), 12 party coalition. "When the people expressed their will at the ballots, and chose the FJP to represent them, we dealt with that as a burden of responsibilities, not just an electoral victory".
