Morsi Vows to Form a United Front Against Former Regime
Freedom and Justice chief and presidential contender, Dr. Morsi, pledges to form strong coalition government that will include leading members of other movements and orientations to stem the tide of reactionary forces trying desperately to hang over.

In a news conference, Dr. Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s presidential candidate, said that a VP does not necessarily have to be from the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP). He will have more than one deputy from other currents and leanings. He further promises that the next cabinet will be a wide-based coalition government.

He stressed that he seeks to unite all national, patriotic players and stakeholders and candidates who came out of the presidential race, under one banner, with one target, to face the contrived efforts to restore the defunct former regime and reinstate its symbols once again, re-launching them back into political life.

Moreover, Morsi said that the people and the enlightened revolutionaries will not allow such a blatant replication of the old system of governance, and that just as they were able to topple Mubarak, they are quite capable of removing the crumbling remains and symbols of his corrupt regime.

"I stand at the same distance from all Egyptians, those who voted for me and those who did not. If I win the runoff, I will be president of all Egyptians. I will make every effort to defend the constitutional State.

"There is a general agreement to clear the remains of corruption and repression, remnants of the dismantled dictatorship. Very soon, you will hear that there is a united national front striving to overthrow the corrupt regime permanently."
