Dr. Farid Ismail, member of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP)’s Executive Office, rejected as false reports in some newspapers and a number of Egyptian print and broadcast media outlets alleging that the FJP has decided to increase its share in the next government from 30% to 50%: "The FJP has not decided on 30% to start with, nor has it increased it to 50%. The entire task is the responsibility of the President". In an official press statement, Dr. Ismail further stressed that all these rumors and ‘reports’ are totally false, unfounded; and that he did not make any statements in this regard, with respect to the government, its formation, composition and each party’s share. "This is in the hands of the President. The next government will be based on a strong broad-based consensus among political parties and movements. They have all agreed on that. I hope the media would commit to accuracy and objectivity in reports, information and statements they published about FJP leadership, positions and discourses on all issues."
