FJP’s Erian: Intelligence Services Belong to Homeland Not Deceased Individuals

Dr. Essam El-Erian, Vice Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (the FJP), said: "Intelligence services belong to the homeland, the State, and not any individual citizens or deceased figures."

In recent posts in his personal Twitter account, Erian said: "Members of the intelligence services must re-read the changes on the scene, and work to uphold the independence of Arab decision.

"This is the end of the ‘war on terror’, of accusing Islam and Muslims everywhere. Those who led that war are disappearing one after another. Islam is no longer in the dock. This is the beginning of a new historic phase."
