Mamdouh Ramzi, appointed member of Egypt’s Shura Council (SC), said that Christians are represented by 20 members in the SC, their strongest bloc in sixty years, saying: “Christians were never represented by so many under any former government in Egypt for long decades”.
Ramzi added that he was not appointed to Shura Council based on Church nominations, but was chosen as a public opposition figure. |
