Dr. Murad Ali, media adviser to the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), reiterated the party’s view that the Mubarak trial judge's decision to withdraw from the case for ‘embarrassment’ is a wise move, adding: "All that really matters for the FJP is a speedy and fair trial for Mubarak and the symbols of his regime, especially in the presence of new evidence against them.

"The FJP is determined to exact retribution for the families of the martyrs who fell in the events of January 25 Revolution, and to bring all the perpetrators to a fair trial, which will ultimately help support all the oppressed. Certainly, the FJP seeks after a speedy and deterrent trial."
