Hussein Ibrahim, Secretary General of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), said: "The people are sovereign. They are entitled to demand the reform and purge institutions of any corruption. Everyone has to meet the people’s demands, including judicial system reforms.

"I am confident that the large base of members of the judiciary are honorable and honest, as is the case in most other institutions of the country; but the exception to this rule in the case of the judiciary is not like the rest of state institutions, because its impact on the judiciary perilously threatens the goals and demands of the great January 25 Revolution."
