Egypt Mufti: Myanmar Genocide of Muslims a Shame on Face of Humanity

In a statement Tuesday, Dr. Shawki Allam, Egypt’s Mufti, stressed that what is happening to Burma Muslims in Myanmar is a glaring mark of disgrace on the forehead of humanity as a whole. He denounced the continuing genocide and terror campaigns suffered daily by Rohingya Muslims.

Egypt’s Mufti appealed to governments of the Arab and Muslim worlds as well as international institutions, NGOs, the United Nations and human rights organizations around the world to urgently act to lift the injustice done to those oppressed Burma Muslims.
