In a statement to Ikhwanweb Tuesday, Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan, a spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood, said: "Israel is still a thorn in the heart of the Arab world; and it continues to terrorize and destroy.

"The U.S. condones Israel’s criminality amid the Syrian crisis in which the repressive regime of Bashar Al-Assad is exterminating the Syrian people who aspire for freedom and democracy."

Dr. Ghozlan stressed that the wrath of the people may be painful for Israel, and will increase instability in the region, which is specifically what the U.S. wants in order to keep at bay the aspirations of the region’s peoples for freedom and to prolong the precarious transitional phases some countries of the Arab Spring are going through of their path of democratic transformation.

The Muslim Brotherhood spokesman further said that the world's silence regarding Israeli violations is most unfortunate.
