Shura Presser Wednesday Rejects Hezbullah Interference in Syria as Threat to Regional Security
Egypt Upper House calls on Lebanon’s Hezbullah to leave Syria to its brave people and focus on its own resistance and defense of Lebanese territories.

In a press statement, Ridha Fahmi, head of Shura Council’s Arab and Foreign Affairs and National Security Committee, said: "The Committee condemns Lebanese Hezbullah’s blatant direct interference and criminal acts against the defenseless Syrian people, who rose in revolution to restore their rights from Assad’s blood-thirsty repressive regime. "The Committee is following up Syrian crisis developments. It regards Hezbullah’s intervention as a real threat to regional security and peace. Hezbullah will pay dearly for this intervention, as public mood is already turning against Hezbullah after supporting it in its resistance to the Israeli occupation. "I urge Hezbullah for an immediate withdrawal from Syrian territories, and a quick return to its original role in the defense of the sanctity of Lebanese territories along with the official state army in Lebanon."
