In a statement, Dr. Essam El-Erian, member of the Shura Council (Upper House) for Freedom and Justice Party, reaffirmed that: "The Arab nation has a date with change, freedom and democratization. The contractions and pain we experience today in more than one country is nothing but the prevalent darkness before the emergence of the dawn of freedom.

"All Arab countries have seen a variety of changes that will eventually enable the Arab nation to achieve deferred hopes and aspirations for long on hold due to repressive regimes, to prove its cultural identity and elect with its free will representatives and rulers."

In conclusion, Erian said: "They think it is far off. But We see it near at hand" (Quran 70: 6&7).

"Soon Arabs will once again lead the Muslim nation, which will help human civilization flourish. Islamic Sharia (law) will regain its well-deserved status as a framework of law and justice system, civilization and culture, with which the whole earth will prosper, with justice and goodness, equality, tolerance and righteousness for all people."
