Egyptian Revolutionary Council Demands African Union Freeze Egypt Membership
As the illegitimate coup regime in Egypt continues to violate all local and international laws, the ERC calls on the African Commission for Human and Peoples' Rights to act promptly to stop junta atrocities.

The Egyptian Revolutionary Council (ERC) called upon the African Commission for Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR) to exercise its powers in the prosecution of the coup regime in Egypt internationally, and the renewal of its suspension from the African Union because of the crimes committed by the regime against the Egyptian people.
In a letter to the ACHPR President, Dr. Maha Azzam, the ERC's Chairperson, said: "Al-Sisi regime's total disregard for your letter regarding the postponement of the execution of the innocent citizen Mahmoud Ramadan is a slap in the face of the international community. This is not new, nor surprising, from a regime that does not respect even the protocols and conventions to which it is a signatory". |
