We solemnly salute the patriotic people of Egypt, who gave the oppressors a hard lesson by boycotting the elections which were rigged even before they started, declaring Egyptians' opposition to the junta-controlled regime dragging the country into a deep political, economic and social abyss.

Regardless of what the repressive regime will do in its attempts to hide its total failure and the people's evident rejection of granting it any legitimacy, your blessed boycott has achieved its goal and revealed the truth about a despotic regime that desperately tried to pretend popularity or claim legitimacy.

Your courageous stance today (Sunday) – despite all threats and temptations – marked a new beginning for all patriots to rally behind one national goal: to restore freedom, justice and dignity.

Long live Egypt and its people – free, dignified

Down down with the despots
