El-Fayoum: Tear Gas Used to Curb Voters

 
Although supervisor judges of Sanors constituency, of el-Fayoum, threatened to suspend voting, if police did not resume its neutrality, 100 supporters of the Moslem Brotherhood were arrested. Police, in addition, closed polling centers of El-Rady School. News agency reporters as well as the supreme monitor judge were not allowed to enter polling centers. In a protest on the heavy hand of security officials over voting, election overseeing judges tried to depart carrying the polling boxes but they were headed off by policemen. In short, matters in Sanors City worsen. 
 
The clashes erupted between policemen and the backers of the Brotherhood left scores of injured people. Discontent residents threatened to arrange a demonstration. To curb them, policemen used tear gas and cudgels.
 
Furthermore, the representative of the Brotherhood’s nominee in Yusseif el-Sedq constituency along with a monitor of a human right organization was abducted from a polling station. Moreover, Yusseif Wally, the National Democratic Party’ nominee, hired thugs to terrorize voters in Kahk village.
