The Administrative Court issued a ruling of canceling Al Fayyum University decision of dismissing 18 students for a month and canceling ensuing measures, including denying students access to practical education classes and practical training in various faculties; the students filed this lawsuit to cancel these dismissals after the University President refused to even meet the students to discuss the issue.

The Administrative Court issued this ruling on Thursday, April, 26, 2007.

It is worth mentioning that Al Fayyum university students are currently facing a fierce campaign from the University President and faculty deans following an artistic festival that the students organized; the University President issued these one-month dismissals against 18 students without even investigating with them; days later, the Faculty of Education dean issued a decision for dismissing 5 students including a female student for a month without any reason; the dean of the Faculty of Social Work referred 32 students, including 18 female students to disciplinary panels to investigate with them in order to intimidate students ahead of their exams; however, Thursday"s Administrative Court confirms that the students are facing unjust campaigns from Al Fayyum university administration and its faculties
