Egyptian security force carried out on Saturday dawn, June, 2, 2007, huge sweeps of arrests in many villages of the district of Quasna, including Mastay, Shubra Bakhoum and Shubra Qubala in the governorate of Monoufia. The force raided houses of many supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood candidate for the Shura Council midterm elections, Salah Samri. Some weren’t found in their houses during the raids while others were arrested, including:
 
-Mossad Omar Hilal, employee in Birket El-Sab health administration village of Mustay.
-Wael Yunus Hamida, primary school teacher, village of Mustay
-Hani Qamar from the village of Shubra Bakhoum
-Hani Agour, primary school teacher, village of Shubra Qubala
-Al Sayed Agour, primary school teacher, village of Shubra Qubala
-Imam Madbouli, prep school teacher, village of Shubra Qubala
 
Meanwhile, the security forces in the city of Quasna have been hunting any one suspected of supporting the MB candidate. Many residents have been chased by the security forces due to this reason in many streets all over the city of Quasna.
