Jamil Abu Bakr (Media Spokesman of Muslim Brotherhood), in a press release, has accused Zahabi’s government, before and after the amendments, of “not meeting the aspirations of the Jordanian people” who “yearn” to see a government that would be “representative of the real and influential political and social forces in the society”

Commenting on the cabinet reshuffle by the Prime Minister Amin Al-Zahabi, Abu Bakr criticized the methodology used in the formation and amendment of the government saying: “we are still emphasizing the need to find a methodology to provide a representative government for the political parties and to be responsible infornt of a real Parliament that reflects the reality of the Jordanian society ... and a self-governing highly democratic Parliament that watches governments and grants or obscures transparency”.

He described the government as “a government that is merely a working government” pointing out that the challenges and dangers facing it requires “another formation methodology and a different construction” to be able to face the crisis “in Jordan an dteh crisis which the whole region is going through”.

Abu Bakr pointed out that the current method in forming and amending governments has led to the “lack” of public interests in the event, and he added “you barely see any public interest, as citizens wouldn’t pay attention but they did so only because of the continuous delay and leakage of information regarding the recent amendment”.

He stated that msny formed governments in addition to its amendments were all subject to influences that “the decision of the Prime Minister in forming it was very limited or none”.

He also condemned forming and amending governments “without” the minimum consultation with the “effective” political forces, which he described as “totally excluded” from the current political scene.
