45 MPs in the Jordanian House of Representatives signed an appeal demanding president Mubarak to release detainees affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood group in Egypt..
 
The Jordanian MPs confirmed that they want Egypt to rise high above such measures of restricting freedoms and referring to military courts those who serve their homeland and all the Nation.
 
They demanded reconsidering the measures taken in this regard to release these noble group of Muslim Brotherhood leaders and members.
 
The following is the text of the statement:
 
President of Arab Republic of Egypt
Mr. Mohamed Hosni Mubarak
 
Peace be upon you,
 
We, the undersigned, Members of the Jordanian House of Representative were stunned by the actions of the security services of throwing well-reputed figures and effective elements belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood in prisons; we urge our sister country Egypt to rise high above such actions of restricting freedoms during an age in which the is a supremacy of democracy and law, an age in which there are demands for political reforms and protecting human rights.
 
Mr. president: Egypt is still expected to lead both the Islamic and Arab worlds to the good of our nation, and it can’t do so while its best reformers are behind bars over groundless charges.
 
We hope, Mr. president, that you reconsider these measures by asking competent authorities to release this noble group which is well known for its sacrifices for the sake of the public interest.
